Rob is done with school!!!

So today was our get together with the families to celebrate our soldiers being done with school. Everybody who said they were coming actually came which is always a good way to start a gathering. We all went to Incredible Pizza, which if you are in the San Antonio area the one on Blanco is really great and the staff are nice, have a party there!!! Food wasn't bad but the games were a lot of fun. Seeing the soldiers and their spouses having fun just like the kids were, was what I was shooting for. We all acted like kids today and it was a great way to say good bye to those who are leaving.

These are the cakes and cupcakes I made. Rob helped me decorate them. Since they're graduating from a lab tech school we had to incorporate agar dishes, test tubes, band aids, and a syringe. First time I've ever made marshmallow fondant. Heck, first time I've ever decorated a cake really other than with just icing. It was fun. We had some problems but o'well.

We didn't make it to the rodeo or the Lady A concert today. We didn't think to buy tickets earlier and weren't willing to pay the price they wanted today ($200 for one, yeah right). We're planning to go next weekend just to the rodeo.

As for tonight, the hubs and I are snuggling on the couch with the furry kids watching movies. Just finished Trouble with the Curve (any movie that includes the Braves deserves an A in my book) which made me ready for baseball to start up! Looking forward to attending a Rangers game with the hubs and a soldier and family from class next month. Now we are watching Total Recall, the new one. I'm not really wanting to watch it but Rob does give in to my movies.

Happy Saturday! Hope you all have a great 3 day weekend, for some, 2 day weekend for others.
