This is my new little snuggle buddy from my husband. Rob brought him home to me on Friday so I can snuggle him when I don't feel well. He's so adorable!!!

Day 16: work

This is my work that has to get done this weekend. We have a friend coming into town on Sunday and the moving company surveying the apartment on Tuesday so we need to do a quick clean up. I was thinking I would vacuum today but I'm still a little concerned about doing anything that'll either hurt or cause problems with my surgery. Maybe I'll sweet talk to hubs into doing it. Glad I did all the hardcore cleaning before my surgery.

August Photo Challenge Day 15

Day 15: colorful

My dad and his family sent me flowers on Tuesday. They are so pretty and the combination of daisies, carnations, and roses are just so happy looking. Orange roses are my favorite flower and I love how they look with the pink daisies. Thanks again to my family! Love you guys!

August Photo Challenge Day 13 & 14

I knew I would miss posting yesterday! Owell, I feel like I had a good reason to miss with the surgery and all. :)

Day 13: corner

I had Rob take a picture of the corner of my hospital room yesterday but I didn't really like the picture. Instead, I took a picture of the corner of my new body pillow which goes everywhere with me now. It is my new best friend!!!

Day 14: tool

First off, I looked up the definition because I really didn't want to take a picture of a hammer or wrench or something else that was boring. Yes, I might not have needed the definition but I really was hoping that something in arms reach would fit and it did!!!

And since my butt is either going to be in bed or on the couch for the next few days, these are probably the only tools I'll be using. I am so happy that I don't have to get up to change the channel!

August Photo Challenge Day 10, 11, & 12

Slacking. I know. We had date night on Saturday and were just super busy making sure everything was in place for this surgery tomorrow.

Day 10: entertainment

My husband and kids are always super entertaining! They were both wanting to snuggle with their daddy.

Day 11: Where I stand

Literally, this is where I stand often. The cabinet in front of me is where the sink is and just to the right is the stove/oven. I really do like spending time in my kitchen. Because it's so small, anything on the cabinets make it look packed and cluttered which isn't great but when i manage to put things else where, it's great. Plus, I love our fake wood floors. They have the look of wood without the care.

Day 12: paper

My morning was spent at the hospital doing my pre-op appointment. I call in 30 minutes to find out what time my surgery is tomorrow and they gave me this helpful paper for me to write it down on. 

My nerves are going crazy and I'm just so ready to get everything done. My evening will be spent doing laundry so I have comfy clothes that won't bother my incisions and clean sheets because who wants to spend the day in bed on non-fresh sheets?! Also going to the grocery store with Rob when he gets home so we have food to cook in the crockpot just in case I can't actually cook for a few days. Oh the fun!!!

I'll try to post tomorrow's photo before surgery since I won't be with it later in the day. If not, it'll be late. :)

August Photo Challenge Day 8 & 9

It's been two busy days for me so I forgot to post yesterday. Sorry...

Day 8: Outdoors

This is SAMC/BAMC hospital. I spent the morning there for a doctor's appointment which gave us the good news that I will be having surgery on Tuesday!!! Looking forward to some relief from the pain!

Day 9: favorite room

My living room. It was cute when it was decorated. Now, it's still comfy just not so pleasing to the eye.

August Photo Challenge Day 7

Day 7: far away

Today is 2 pictures. Indy, distance wise, is far away. About 1,180 miles. And even though we've made it 12 months here in Texas, it seems like our hopeful moving date back to Indy is still far away!

22 days and 1180 miles separate us from our friends and family....it seems so far away...

August Photo Challenge Day 6

For some reason, I woke up with a bunch of energy. No idea why but, hey, I'll take it. As my coffee was brewing, I cleaned the kitchen counter, the stove, and started making iced tea.

And because I was cleaning the counter, I threw the towel that I use for nondishwasher safe dishes to air dry on into the laundry basket. And that leads me to today's post.

Day 6: black and white

This is my towel from when I was little. I thought it was fitting to be black and white since it's probably around 25 years old. And since it is that old, it's falling apart and is no longer suitable for someone to actually use after a bath. Hence the post. This is now the towel that is usually used for air drying dishes. And every time I grab it out of the closet, I can't help but smile.

August Photo Challenge Day 5

I've been using my phone to do all of these posts lately because it is much easier than on the computer, especially with the photos. And I just noticed that yesterday's post did not post. Silly technology. I guess that means you get 2 in one day.

Day 5: clean

Before and after pictures of my coffee table today. Cups from our dinner last night, coffee cup from breakfast, Sonic cup which was actually a milkshake Rob had in the freezer from last week that I finished after dinner. Added to all that, I've been having fun and being crafty for my best friend's bachelorette party and bridal shower. This all makes for one very messy table. But it's all cleaned up now and I've got my candles burning.

August Photo Challenge Day 4

Presently, we are standing at Best Buy waiting for Geek Squad to figure out what's wrong with Rob's laptop. I found the new laptop I want since my is super old and falling apart. Hoping for an awesome Christmas gift.

Day 4: technology

Great day to take care of this. I didn't want to seem like a creeper and take photos of the computers so I just did this random shot in the general direction. :)

I didn't forget today, we've just been really busy. We went to see Red 2 and dinner with our friends the Wallis'. We always enjoy time with good friends!!

Anyways, onto the photo.

Day 3: water

Rob hates it but I do not like tap water. You want me to drink water? You buy me water. Our water at the apartment tastes more like chemicals than anything. Nasty!!!

I might not have taken a picture today but I assembled one of my family!!! Lol I think that counts for something! There's me, Rob, Sami, Jags, and Fred. :)

So like I said, I wanted to start a photo challenge for the month of August. Well I found one and can't wait to start tomorrow! Can you believe today is the last day of July? Over half of 2013 has passed! Schools are starting back up! The end of me living in Texas is upon us!! Woohoo!!!
