February Photo Challenge, Day 27

Happy Hump Day! Hard to believe that the month of February has almost passed. I have a feeling 2013 is going to fly by!!

Day 27 is "IMPERFECT"

 

That's me and my imperfection. No makeup, not showered, and feeling like crap. I do have to say, filters really do help make a horrible picture look much better.

 

I'm trying to work on cleaning the house but am having a horrible time at it. I have a cough that is super annoying and really makes my throat itch. At times I feel like I'm going to be sick. Thought I was going to pass out while I was trying to sort laundry. Thankfully, other than doing a few more loads of laundry, I'm done with what I planned on doing today. That includes dusting our ceiling fan which was pretty nasty.

 

Now, I'm going to go marinate some chicken for dinner and watch TV while I wait for this load of laundry to be done so I can switch it.

February Photo Challenge, Days 24, 25, & 26

Slacking off the past few days. I've got other things on my mind. But here are 3 days in a row for ya!

Day 24 was "DOWN"

 

My socks. Always love wearing bright socks!!! These are even better because they are fuzzy too. Even if it is 70 here in Texas, my feet are almost always cold.

Day 25 was "WANTED"

 

I want a croissant like crazy!!! Or any fresh, bakery, bread like thing. Had to take a picture of my computer screen since clearly I don't have one.

Day 26 is "INSPIRATIONAL"

This is a sign I have hanging up in our guestroom. To me it's inspirational. I'm trying to create a wall of quotes for that wall.

 

 

As for what I am doing today, nothing much really. I have been motivated to pick up the mess that takes over our living room from time to time. I decided I needed to make a To Do List for the house mostly because I like checking things off lists. I have it hanging up where I can see it when I'm sitting on the couch doing nothing. Each day I plan on writing a few things that I would like to get done and removing the ones I have already done. I know it's crazy, but I need to be motivated to clean and checking things off gives me a little motivation.

This was the start of my list. More things have been added and almost everything is checked off. Minus vacuuming, that might wait until tomorrow. :)

 

Well, the husband should be on his way home soon which means I need to get going. Want to finish up cleaning off the love seat and moving stuff that I ended up putting the couch.

February Photo Challenge, Day 23

It's a Saturday and I'm actually remembering to post my picture!!!! Maybe this last weekend of February, I won't forget!!

Day 23 is "OUTSIDE"

 

My outside picture is of an old building on Fort Sam Houston. This is the back side of where UPS is but I've loved it since the first time we went on base. It says Commissary but it isn't anymore. And look at the sky! Pretty!!!

 

While we were on base, the hubs gave into my complaining because I wanted...

 

 

a blast from Baskin Robbins. I was a very happy girl!!!

 

So our Saturday consisted of grocery shopping at the actual commissary on base (I always forget how great their prices are!), shopping at Kohls, and dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday. At least it wasn't like last weekend where we pretty much just sat around the house. I also bought some clothes for our anniversary weekend vacation at Kohls!!!

 

This was my look for our Saturday afternoon: a cool blue blouse with stars that my mom got me, jeans, and my slouchy hat I made myself. Comfy Saturday!

Well, that's how we spent our day. This evening Rob will be watching the UFC fight in the living room while I probably watch a movie in the bedroom so I can lay down in bed since I'm not feeling the best. It'll give him so alone time.

February Photo Challenge Day 22

Day 22 is "FAV COLOR"

 

My favorite color is orange. It's amazing how few orange things I could find this morning to take a picture of. I mean, I have an orange potholder infront of me that I used to hold my hot oatmeal bowl this morning and orange yarn next to me but I didn't think those would take good pictures. So, it came down to this orange vase I have sitting on our fireplace.

February Photo Challenge, Days 20 & 21

And I've missed posting pictures again!!! Thankfully, the month is almost over so I can stop forgetting! LOL

Day 20 was "STORE"

 

This is our grocery store: HEB. I miss having options to shop like Marsh, Kroger, Meijer, etc but at least this one is right by our house. (Picture was taken inside my car in the parking lot. I always feel weird with taking pictures of buildings for fear that I'll get in trouble. Strange? Yes, I know!)

Day 21 is "BOOK"

 

This is one of my favorite books! I grew up loving the movie (it's my favorite) and when I found the book in my teens, I was hooked. If you're a fan of the movie, read the book. It is equally as great!!! When we moved down here, I went through all of my books to decide which ones I would read in the next year and which ones I wouldn't. This made the cut to move to Texas with us!!

February Photo Challenge, Day 17, 18, & 19

I don't know what on the days Rob is off that I forget to post!!! Owell, here they are now.

Day 17 was "STRAIGHT"

 

When we moved into our apartment I was ready with many projects to make this place feel like a home. I also hate empty walls. The straight line belongs to a simple hang up I made for the bathrooms.

Day 18 was "ARTWORK"

 

This is a piece of art I did years ago. I call it Love and Chaos. It hangs in our bathroom to go with our red, black, and white scheme.

Day 19 is "DETAIL"

 

These are some of the details around the house that I have put up to make it feel like a home. The greatest compliment I received was when our friends were visiting from Indy and one said "I'm surprised you've actually made this place feel like a home." That was my goal. Next goal, fixing the star that says Welcome that my husband broke on accident. :)

So it's Valentine's Day night. I hope everyone has had a great day with their loved one.

Rob enjoyed his Scavenger Hunt (check it out on the Crafts page). It was fun watching him be kind of child like.

Anyways, today is day 14 which is "VALENTINE".

 

My Valentine is my from my dear sweet hubby! I love chocolate covered strawberries!!! And my note from him (PS guys, the note you can attach to flowers or a gift does not count as a card. I told Rob this for future reference).

February Photo Challenge, Day 13

Like I said, I technically switched Day 12 and 13 and actually had a destination today!

Day 13 is "DESTINATION"

After thinking I wouldn't have a place to go again, today my husband needed me to bring something to him on base which means we got to have an unexpected lunch date! Burger King was not our first choice, Popeye's line was way too long and their food takes much longer to make, but in the end I found that they now have cheesy tots which made me very happy!

February Photo Challenge, Day 11 and 12

So silly me, I forgot to post my photo yesterday. Hehe...here it is now.

Day 11 was "ADORE"

 

One of the items I adore most is our wedding album, as well as all of our wedding photos. I look at this book all the time. And just seeing it sitting on the table next to the couch, makes me happy. That day was so amazing and reliving it always feels great.

Day 12 is supposed to be "DESTINATION" but I don't have anywhere to go so instead I'm switching day 12 and 13. That means today is "UNFORGETTABLE"

 

My unforgettable item is the album of our honeymoon. Whenever times get tough, I look back at this picture of us in Gatlinburg and remember that perfect week of just Rob and I. That was my first week as Mrs. Morrow and I always smile when I think about everything we did that week.

February Photo Challenge, Day 9 & Day 10

So I forgot to post Day 9 yesterday because I was super excited to be spending time with my love! I did manage to take a picture before our day started...

Day 9 of the photo challenge was "BREAKFAST"

 

My honey made me a very yummy breakfast of fried eggs, toast, and fried ham.

Today is Day 10 of the photo challenge and both the hubs and I are exhausted from our date night last night. I've decided to be nice and let him have a morning of video game playing before he has to study for his last week of school!!! I hate watching him play the sports games, at least games like LA Noir are fun to watch. As for me, I'm updating the blog (posted our February Date Night in our 12 Months of Dates) and listening to my country station on Pandora. This is my down time before I have to battle the grocery store... :(

Anyways, Day 10 of the photo challenge is "SPOUSE/LOVED ONE"

This is my "white" object, my favorite coffee cup. It's being used right now hence the coffee drips at the top of the cup.

 

I bought this cup, and a matching one that say's "Mr." for the hubs, to take on our honeymoon. Still being a newlywed, I love things that say "Mr. and Mrs."
